I love telling Robert Johnson's story, whether true or myth! The left side is his upbringing in the Mississippi Delta and I used a reference photo of the actual house he grew up in. The Devil is a dapper gentleman and straight up business guy; pockets loaded with cash and just one of the hounds of Hell tagging along. Neither of them look very fearsome by design. Robert Johnson in the center panel is sitting on his tombstone since he has made the deal with the devil and has been rewarded with a smokin' guitar, but we all know he already had the talent. There's a pair of dice at his feet as he sits and the Crossroads. His halo is also a compass since he was trying to figure out which way to go, the good side or the dark side, and we all know how it ended.
This piece has working doors with small brass hinges, the exterior is completely gilded in 24K gold leaf.
