From my "bon appetit!" series of lumen prints of herbs & vegetables
A solar printing process creates a lumen print. These images were created on expired photographic paper and placed in the sun for development, resulting in a unique impression of these spicy & fragrant subjects. This process was among the first photographic techniques developed in the 19th century. The exposure of each lumen print is determined by the strength of the sun, the length of time it was exposed, the time of year, the time of day, the clouds, the humidity, and the density and composition of the subject, making each print a unique addition to your art collection.
