People often ask me to take portraits of their families, shoot weddings, birthday parties, Christmas cards, funerals, but photographing people isn't my strong-suit, so to practice, I take pictures of the flowers blooming in the Spring.

Follow this artistA few years back, I lost a lot of very important things in a very short period of time.
I started walking the 3-mile stretch of the lakefront as a meditation, a place where I could catch my thoughts, and sometimes as a place to disappear between the clouds.
It became part of my daily ritual.
I'm not sure how many miles I'd walked before I started snapping pictures, but it wasn't many.
At the time, I was getting pretty curious about sorting out the limitations of mobile phone cameras, and I've always has a strong affinity for staring into the spaces where the land meets water.
It was a natural fit, and still is as this project of photographing Lake Pontchartrain, nearly every day for the last 3 years, is still on going.
No day is ever the same out there, that's what keeps me going back.
