Recently, I have been playing around with the ideas of depth and perspective in my monotype series. The medium is, overall, difficult to control (at least that is way I prefer it to be) so I can only encourage inks to flow a certain direction or create a particular shape. I liken it to action painting, in a certain way, which may be why Jackson Pollack is so influential on me and particularly this series. After printing the images and allowing them to dry, I sit with them all, meditating on the final piece and allowing them to reveal their true nature to me. Only then do I give them a title.
Sold as unframed.
